Terms and conditions

These terms cover your use of the HD Diesel Repair Shop website and how we contact you about your truck. Effective September 1, 2026.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and HD Diesel LLC, which operates HD Diesel Repair Shop in Killdeer and Williston, North Dakota, and Sunrise Diesel LLC, which operates Sunrise Diesel Repair Shop in Dickinson, North Dakota. In these terms, "we," "us" and "our" mean those two companies and the people who work for them. "You" means anyone who uses this website or contacts us through it.

Effective September 1, 2026. By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. What this website is — and what it is not

This website exists to tell you what our shops do, where they are, when they are open and how to reach us. That is its whole job.

Nothing on this site is a diagnosis of your truck, a quote for a repair, a promise that a particular fault can be fixed, or a promise about how long a repair will take or last. A diesel engine cannot be diagnosed from a web page. Every one of those things depends on the unit in front of us, and can only come from a person at the shop after we have talked to you or looked at the machine.

Descriptions of our services tell you the kind of work we do. They are not a commitment that any specific service is available at a specific shop on a specific day.

3. Requests, estimates and scheduling

A message sent through the contact form on this site is a request for us to get in touch. It is not a booking, and it does not hold a bay. Work is scheduled only when one of us has spoken with you and confirmed it directly.

If your truck is stopped and you need somebody now, call the shop. A form does not get anyone out to you.

Any estimate we give — on the phone, at the counter or in writing — is our best judgment based on what is known at that moment. Diesel work uncovers things. If the job turns out to be different from the estimate, we will tell you before we go past what you approved.

4. Phone calls and text messages

When you give us your phone number — on the form, on the phone, or at the counter — you are agreeing that we may call or send text messages to that number about your truck and the work you have asked us to do. That includes confirming an appointment, asking a question about the unit, telling you a part has arrived, telling you the job is done, and following up about a repair.

This is service messaging about your own job. It is not a marketing list, and we do not add you to one because you contacted us about a broken truck.

How often we message depends entirely on your job — some repairs need one message, some need several in a day. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your plan and your carrier. Carriers do not guarantee that a message will be delivered or that it will arrive on time, so please do not rely on a text alone for anything urgent.

You can stop the messages at any time by replying STOP to any text from us, or by telling us on the phone or in person. Reply HELP to any text and we will tell you how to reach us. Stopping text messages does not stop us calling you about work already in progress, and it does not cancel any work you have asked us to do.

Only give us a phone number you are allowed to give us. Please do not give us somebody else's number without their permission.

5. Your responsibilities

Give us accurate information about yourself, your company and the unit. What you tell us about a symptom shapes what we look at first, and wrong information costs you money.

If you bring in or authorize work on a truck, trailer or piece of equipment, you are telling us you own it or that you have the owner's permission to have it worked on and to approve repairs and charges on it.

Remove or tell us about anything valuable in or on the unit before you leave it. Tell us about anything on the machine that is unusual, modified, damaged or unsafe, and about any hazardous material it has carried.

6. The repair itself is a separate agreement

This page governs your use of the website. It does not govern the repair.

The actual work — what we agreed to do, what you approved, what it cost, what parts went on, and any warranty on that work — is set by the repair order, estimate, invoice and any written agreement between us for that job. If anything on this website ever conflicts with those documents, those documents control.

Parts carry whatever warranty their manufacturer gives them, and no more. Where we pass a manufacturer's warranty on to you, we will tell you so in writing on the paperwork for that job.

7. Vehicles left with us

We will take reasonable care of a unit left in our yard or our shop. A yard is an outdoor working environment in North Dakota, and leaving a vehicle with us is at your risk except where the loss is caused by our own failure to take reasonable care.

Please collect your unit promptly once we tell you the work is finished. If a vehicle is left with us after the work is done and after we have contacted you about it, storage charges may apply, and we may exercise any rights the law gives a repair shop over a vehicle with an unpaid bill.

8. Acceptable use of this site

You may read this site, print it and share it for your own non-commercial use.

You agree not to use the site in any way that damages it, interferes with anyone else's use of it, attempts to gain access to any part of it that is not public, or breaks any law that applies to you. Please do not use the contact form to send advertising, sales pitches, or bulk or automated messages.

9. Our name, our photographs and our words

The text, layout, photographs and marks on this site belong to us or are used with permission. The photographs are of our own shops, our own trucks and our own jobs.

The HD Diesel and Sunrise Diesel names and logos may not be used without our written consent. You may not copy this site's content for a competing business.

10. Customer reviews shown on this site

The customer reviews quoted on this site are the words of the people who wrote them, reproduced from their public reviews. We have not edited them, shortened them or corrected their spelling. Those are their opinions about their own experience, not a promise about yours.

Every truck and every fault is different. What we did for somebody else is not a prediction of what we will be able to do for you.

11. Links and embedded maps

Some pages embed a map so you can find a shop. That map is served by a third party, and when you interact with it you are also dealing with that third party under their own terms and their own privacy practices.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their practices.

12. Availability and accuracy of the site

We work to keep this site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that everything on it is free of error or omission at all times, or that the site will always be available. Hours, phone numbers, services and locations can change. If something matters to your decision, call and confirm it.

The site is provided as it is and as it is available.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by North Dakota law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising out of your use of this website — including lost loads, lost revenue, downtime or missed delivery windows — even if we were told such a loss was possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by North Dakota law, our total liability arising out of your use of this website is limited to one hundred dollars.

This section is about the website. It does not limit our responsibility for the repair work we actually perform, which is governed by the paperwork for that job, and it does not exclude anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Your indemnity to us

If you use this site in a way that breaks these terms or breaks the law, and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses we incur as a result.

15. Changes

We may change this site, and we may update these terms. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the effective date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law and where disputes are heard

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of this website will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Dunn County, North Dakota, and you and we each agree to that venue.

17. If part of this is unenforceable

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part is limited or removed to the smallest extent necessary and the rest stays in force.

These terms, together with the privacy policy and the paperwork for any job we do for you, are the entire agreement between us about your use of this website.
